NEW YORK, August 21, 2024 – Award-winning and derm-recommended “cleanical” skincare brand Skinfix, which focuses on approachable clinical-grade solutions, taps beauty executive Stuart Leitch as their next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Leitch joins Skinfix Founder Amy Gordinier and private equity firm Stride Consumer Partners with the shared goal of accelerating the brand’s next phase of growth.
Gordinier will remain an active role in the business and continue to serve as Founder, focusing her efforts on partnering with dermatologists to deliver ground-breaking innovation. Leitch joins the team from OLAPLEX, where he served as Chief Revenue Officer. He brings to Skinfix a multi-faceted business perspective, informed by experience at brands in various growth stages.
Prior to his role at OLAPLEX, Leitch served as an Executive in Residence at New Theory Ventures, supporting the fund’s mission to invest in and incubate brands with women and diverse founders, and worked with Gwen Stefani to launch her makeup range exclusively at Sephora. Over the course of a decade at L’Oréal, Leitch held strategic leadership positions within the Luxury and Active Cosmetics divisions, including at clinical skincare category leader, SkinCeuticals. Most notably, he served as President of Lancôme, the multinational conglomerate’s flagship Luxury brand. Before joining L’Oréal, Leitch spearheaded marketing and business development in the UK and US at Dermalogica, the iconic professional skincare brand. In addition, he currently serves on the board of directors of Sente Labs.
Founder Amy Gordinier said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Stuart to our growing team. His deep expertise in beauty and clinical skincare aligns perfectly with our mission here at Skinfix. Stuart’s proven success with leading brands and his passion for effective skincare make him the ideal partner as we enter this exciting new phase. I look forward to working closely with him to elevate Skinfix to new heights.”
Leitch said: “Skinfix is an exciting, uniquely positioned brand within the Sephora environment that I believe has enormous potential. I’m looking forward to scaling this business in partnership with Amy, whose passion I find inspiring, and am excited to return to my skincare roots—especially skincare so efficacious and credible. In collaborating with Stride Consumer Partners, and drawing inspiration from Amy’s leadership and vision, I believe we can achieve remarkable success.”
Leitch will be based at the Skinfix office in New York, while Gordinier will split her time between New York and Halifax, Nova Scotia where she currently resides.
